STORIES FROM STAUDACHERHOF
Attention water lovers – lakes, pools, streams.
Crystal clear and sparklingly fresh. That's what the water around Garmisch-Partenkirchen is all about. No wonder: It comes directly from the mountains. Diving and submerging here is truly at its finest.
BATHING FUN
Abundant in water. That's also the nature around the Staudacherhof. So hiking boots aren't always necessary. On some days, swimming trunks and a bikini will do. A cool tip for hot days: the idyllic mountain lakes. There are plenty of them. Pflegersee, Riessersee, Geroldsee, or Eibsee. Each one is more beautiful than the last. Natural swimming pools invite you to relax and swim. They offer comfort. They have charm. And some have a long tradition. Like the Kainzenbad, which has been inviting swimmers since 1928. The dreamy view of the mountains is offered everywhere. Like the sparkling fresh water. Wonderfully refreshing! Even on really hot days. Soothing afterwards: Let the sun warm you. Or take a well-deserved nap. In the shade, of course. Under old trees. By the way. Some cool water can do more than just refresh you. The one in Pflegersee, for example. The water of the small moor lake is considered an insider tip. It's supposed to be especially good for skin and hair. And even when the sun isn't shining, the fun doesn't stop there! Luckily, there's the Alpspitz wave pool. With a tube slide, speed slide, wave pool, and diving pool, this water park entices visitors. What fun for all ages.

RAFTING & CANYONING
Discover the wild side of water. Full of adventure. And with adrenaline pumping. Fun and excitement rolled into one. Experiences you won't soon forget. Rafting together. Because teamwork is key here. That's the only way to master the river. On the Loisach, for example: Discover the Werdenfelser Land from the water. On a rafting tour that's also suitable for families. Or canyoning. Unconditionally follow the water's course. Through narrow gorges. Deep pools. Or over roaring waterfalls. Conquer mountain streams without reservation. Always follow the water's course. So slide. Jump. Swim. Abseil. Sometimes a real challenge. But one that quickly becomes addictive.

TIP
There's strength in calmness. Perhaps no one knows this better than Cristian, an Ayurvedic massage therapist and yoga instructor at the Staudacherhof. He's drawn to his favorite lake to unwind and relax: Lake Walchensee. With the deepest and clearest water of all the lakes here.
