More challenging than the Partnach Gorge, but just as worthwhile. Here, you'll gain some altitude. There are two routes to the gorge: from Parking lot for hikers in Hammersbach. Or via the Grainau-Hammersbach Zugspitzbahn stop. From here, you hike three kilometers and a total elevation gain of 300 meters to the entrance of the Höllentalklamm. Ahead of you lie a 700-meter gorge hike. Over footbridges, rock steps, and through illuminated tunnels. Past turquoise pools, rapids, and foaming white waterfalls.
