The ascent requires good physical condition and the right hiking gear. The hike begins as early as 07:30 a.m. Because the trail is long and challenging. Through alpine terrain. From July to September, you can join a group tour every first Friday of the month or book an exclusive private tour. But be careful: Places are in high demand, so secure your spot for this special highlight early!

The trip to the Zugspitze

Of course, you can also take a trip up the Zugspitze. It's a very comfortable experience. The Zugspitze cable car is just a 14-minute walk from our hotel. The path up to the Zugspitze is just as impressive as the summit itself. From Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the journey begins at the Zugspitze train station, from where you can take the rack railway via picturesque stations like Hammersbach and Grainau to the Zugspitzplatt. From there, the glacier cable car takes you the last few meters to the viewing platform, where you'll be rewarded with an incomparable panorama. The return to the valley is via the modern Zugspitze cable car, which takes you over the picturesque Eibsee.
