For beginners: On the Kramerplateauweg
New to trail running? Garmisch has the perfect route for you: the Kramerplateauweg. The starting point is at the Garmisch Cemetery parking lot. There's a short climb to overcome at the beginning. Our tip: If you're a beginner, don't overexert yourself. Simply take the uphill and downhill sections at your own pace. At the top of the Kramerplateauweg, the climb is worth it. Panoramic tour to the Königsstand
A true masterpiece among mountain runs. Almost 900 meters of elevation gain are to be conquered. A power-packed effort on natural trails and gravel paths. You'll be rewarded with unique views and a wonderful panorama. This tour, too, is all-inclusive, but nothing is a must. Feel free to include some walking sections, as there are many uphill sections.
Like the Kramer Plateau Trail, it starts at the Garmisch Cemetery parking lot. The final destination: Königsstand. Over steps, roots, and gravel, up the mountain. Flat sections are rare here. Instead, the Alpspitze and Zugspitze are always in view, motivating you to keep going. Be sure to plan a break at the St. Martinshütte. The panorama there is particularly impressive.
The return journey takes the same route.

Trail running at a high level: from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Ehrwald
The premier class of trail running tours in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. And the original Salomon competition course 4 trails in summer 2011. With six ascents and descents. Wide forest roads. Narrow mountain paths. And the most beautiful and exciting trails in our region on the Zugspitze.
From east to west. Crossing borders. The start is at the parking lot of the Alpspitz wave pool in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The destination is Ehrwald, Austria. The trails lead over the Kochelbergalm, the Kreuzeck, Hammersbach, and the picturesque Eibsee. All the way to the Koppensteig. Shortly before reaching the finish line, the route climbs a total of 2.815 meters in elevation. And covers 37,2 kilometers. A route for true trail running pros.
