STORIES FROM STAUDACHERHOF
How Ayurveda became BAYURVIDA®
A small Ayurvedic island in the heart of Bavaria. That's how you could describe the Staudacherhof. We've harnessed this "knowledge of life" and developed our own holistic philosophy of life: BAYURVIDA®In other words: we combine the best of Bavaria with the best of India. In the kitchen and in the spa. The harmony of body, mind, and soul is our top priority.
BAYURVIDA® kitchen – Enjoyment that does you good
Our Ayurvedic natural chefs refine Bavarian delicacies with Ayurvedic spices. BAYURVIDA® dishes use only seasonal and regionally produced ingredients. We cook in balance with the three doshas "Vata," "Pita," and "Kapha," as well as the six tastes: sweet (60%), sour (15%), salty (15%), spicy (5%), bitter (2,5%), and tart (2,5%).
Vata, Pitta and Kapha are life energies on which Ayurvedic medicine is fundamentally based.
They are responsible for the individual constitution of each person, and their harmony with one another is crucial for our health. Only when the three doshas become unbalanced (due to bad habits, poor diet, overwork, burnout) does an unnatural, disease-causing condition arise, and one becomes vulnerable.
With the help of our BAYURVIDA® philosophy, we want to counteract this!

Ayurveda in the spa – deep relaxation guaranteed
The balance of body, mind and soul also plays a major role in our wellness area. After all, that is what Ayurveda, this millennia-old Indian teaching. Its massage techniques have been known for over 3.500 years, making them among the oldest in existence. An Ayurvedic massage is incredibly beneficial. It not only provides deep relaxation but also has a variety of positive effects on health:
Can gently eliminate physical and energetic disturbances. Loosen muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Release blockages. Improve blood circulation in the skin. Initiate the body's purification and detoxification processes. Stimulate the metabolism.
Our Ayurvedic massage therapist Cristian is a master of this healing art with his well-trained, sensitive hands. An Ayurvedic massage with him is highly recommended.

MASSAGE ABC
abhyanga – Massage with oil, is what the term means in Sanskrit. Warm, fragrant oil makes the full-body massage, including head and face massage, a fascinating experience for all the senses. Oil is also used in Shirodhara A special head massage is used extensively to prepare for the classic forehead oil treatment. It clears the mind and puts the patient in a pleasant state of relaxation. The face, head, and upper body—the "gateway to heaven" according to Ayurvedic teachings—are at the center of Mukabhyanga The focus is on this gentle facial massage, which stimulates brain cells and activates marma points.
