It towers majestically over the landscape. The Garmisch-Partenkirchen large ski jump. Considered the most modern ski jumping facility in the world, it's definitely worth a visit. There are 333 steps all the way to the top, to the ski jump tower. A place normally reserved only for the elite ski jumpers. You have to earn this privilege. Bavarians know how to celebrate. That's nothing new. Now's the chance to join in the celebrations! At the Kirchweih festival. With a traditional Kirchweih goose. In the inns. On the alpine pastures. Now it's time to bring hearty food to the table. And at the bakery, there's a special "Kicherl" (a sweet treat). All in honor of the Kirchweih. But you hardly think about it when you're enjoying it. You prefer to savor it.
